Outlook

It's always difficult to lose, especially when victory was so close you could taste it. Losing is part of the game, and it should be accepted with the same class and respect as victory. Over 180 minutes, Inter Milan were more effective and are deserving of a place in the final. Despite the sadness of elimination and the end of a dream, today I'm more proud than ever to be a Barça socio and fan.

Barcelona were always faithful to their attacking philosophy and made every effort to score the 2 goals they needed. Their effort fell short, but the fact that other teams have no choice but to bunker down and "park the bus" in front of goal shows how much respect they have for Barcelona and their players. I'm not proud of Sergio Busquets exaggerating Thiago Motta's foul, but I am proud of our team's attacking bravery and persistence to score goals. I'm proud that our players always play to win, instead of playing to not lose. I'm proud that our team and our supporters preserve the qualities that make this "the beautiful game".

The Champions League dream is over for this season, but there's always a next one and the dream will start again. For now, it's time to focus on the last four games to win the Spanish league. The season is reaching its end, which means that the biggest event of all, The World Cup, is on the horizon.
