IT BEGINS

There's so much wrong happening around the world right now. It's good to take a break from it all and just appreciate all of the good things that we do have. And what a great way to start doing that:

It all kicks off with Euro 2008 early Saturday morning with one of the co-hosts Switzerland playing against the Czech Republic. Right after that, the current best player in the world Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal play Turkey. History will be made over the next few weeks as we watch to find out who the next European champion will be.

Then later that night, primetime at the Staples Center:

And finally, on Sunday at 4:30 PM, the U.S. National team will play the last of their 3 friendly games against the best teams in the world. We learned a lot from playing against England and Spain, but the biggest test is still to come against # 1 ranked Argentina.

This is only 1 weekend. There's so much more to come (NBA finals, World Cup qualifying, Rock the Bells...). For now, I'm just going to appreciate this moment in time.
