COLIMA, MEXICO - PART 1

It's already been 2 months since I was on vacation in Mexico, but it definitely feels like less. That's my constant battle with time though, it always seems to move in the opposite direction I'd like it to.

The cool thing about pictures is that you get to relive moments in time. All of the feelings I had while I visited my mother's home state of Colima come back to me when I look at these images.

It's always special for me to visit the place where part of my heritage comes from. Unfortunately I've never been able to see the other half, which is in Guayaquil, Ecuador - where my father grew up. I definitely plan to travel there one day though.

Colima's volcano, the most active volcano in Mexico.

carpooling at it's finest.

This plate is from one of Colima's best areas: Comala. In Comala, there's several pubs/restaurants called "botaneros", where you buy a drink and they keep bringing you big plates of different types of food for free. There's also live music playing while you enjoy all of the great food. For people like my self that love to eat, this place was heaven.

These soccer boots were interesting. They looked awfully familiar to a very popular model that's sold in the United States...

One of my favorite things about Mexico is that there's plenty of places to play a little soccer, and grass isn't necessary.

what makes this place even more special: the beach is only a 5 minute drive away...
