SOCIALSIM

In a recent interview with CNN's Larry King, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez clearly explained his desire for a more peaceful world. Larry King questioned Chavez on the negative labels he's given by the U.S. media, and Chavez respectfully and intelligently answered. The YouTube English translations of this interview don't do it justice because they make it difficult to hear Chavez clearly, which is necessary. The Spanish versions are great, but unfortunately we're in an English speaking country where most will not understand. However, I will still post the interview soon...

But the point of this post is this: don't believe everything you hear. Chavez supports peace and freedom. Not only for his country, but for all of Latin America and the world. The truth is he's hated for not giving in to an oil hungry American government, which forcefully (through a coup) attempted to remove Chavez as President to take over Venezuela's rich oil reserves. In support of Chavez, the Venezuelan people came together to fight against this injustice, and they won! This is why the elite hate Chavez: because they lost power to him and they resort to media control to blast his name. This is one of the reasons why George Bush and his government re-focused their attention to Iraq, where we're still in war.

Chavez is using Venezuela's oil to fund new programs for a prospering country. While still far from perfect, Venezuela is an improving Socialist society with free health care, decreasing poverty and unemployment rates, and an improving education system for all. How does that sound? Does it sound as bad as the media portrays it to be? Is it anything close to our current situation? For those of you who aren't aware, this is basically the opposite of the current situation in the United States. Watch the video below and see the footage yourself.

If you pay close attention, this isn't difficult to believe. This doesn't get discussed or mentioned in the media because the same people creating the problem own and control all of the major network corporations. The only way we can change our current situation is by seeking the truth and coming together to stand against the people trying to manipulate and control us. Peace and freedom are necessary, it's the only way to live. The United States is currently run by greed and has become a capitalist oligarchy, not a democracy. Only we can change this...
